We have an immediate career opportunity for an Export Filing Agent in Erlanger, KY. The Filing Team is responsible for ensuring export shipments are accurately reviewed, processed, and transmitted in compliance with U.S. Customs and Census Bureau regulations. Team members analyze shipment documentation, determine export filing requirements, and submit Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the Automated Export System (AES) when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, Shipper's Letters of Instruction (SLIs), and export declarations.
- Determine export filing requirements based on shipment value, commodity, destination, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit EEI filings through AES in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs), Schedule B classifications, license information, and other required export data.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, including Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) and other applicable government agency requirements.
- Monitor filing queue and meet established productivity and quality standards.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Ability to interpret shipping and export documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of U.S. export regulations and AES filing requirements preferred.
- This position requires access to secured airport areas. Selected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge, which includes passing a criminal history records check, fingerprinting, and meeting all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Candidates must be able to provide all documentation necessary to support the badging process.
