This is a role for someone who love solving complex operational problems with data, and can influence change across teams without direct authority.
Key job responsibilities
- Process ownership: Map yard processes E2E, identify and measure waste, and design solutions that eliminate it — driving toward automation and operational excellence.
- Problem solving: Define problems, conduct root cause analysis (5-Why, fishbone, DMAIC), test and validate solutions, and design scalable roll-out plans with robust control mechanisms.
- Benchmarking & standards: Create benchmark rates across yard process paths, establish standard work, conduct time studies, and build audit processes to sustain gains.
- Financial modelling: Build clear financial models for improvement initiatives and collaborate with Finance to establish project-level reporting and ROI tracking.
- Stakeholder communication: Write business proposals tailored to diverse audiences, adjusting depth and style to the audience. Proactively communicate project progress, risks, and network impact.
- Cross-functional partnership: Build strong partnerships with operations field leaders, technology teams, and other Amazon business units to identify opportunities, share best practices, and deploy initiatives on-site.
- Change management: Drive adoption of process changes across the network without direct reporting lines, using data-driven approaches and scalable mechanisms to deliver within agreed timeframes.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Math, Engineering, Science or Business
- Experience with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems
- Experience in process improvement

- Knowledge of general AI tools
