Import Planner

About this role

Ensure seamless global supply chain operations and drive import success for our major manufacturing facilities. Reporting directly to the Inbound Supervisor, you will take charge of critical import operations for our key factories located in Rangsit and Wang Noi. As a vital player in our logistics network, your primary focus will be managing end-to-end inbound processes from documentation to customs clearance to ensure smooth, compliant, and cost-effective deliveries.

YOUR ROLE: The global logistics environment is fast-paced, complex, and often unpredictable. You will frequently need to work under high pressure to navigate sudden shipping delays, resolve strict documentation discrepancies, and clear unexpected customs hold-ups, all while meticulously controlling freight costs and adhering to shifting international trade regulations.

By leveraging your deep knowledge of customs procedures and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), you will proactively optimize our import efficiency, build strong relationships with overseas suppliers and brokers, and directly impact the operational success and output of our manufacturing plants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Day-to-day, you will prepare, review, and manage all vital import documents—such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Origin—coordinating directly with overseas suppliers to ensure accuracy before shipment arrival.
• You will liaise closely with Customs Brokers to facilitate timely clearance, verifying HTS classifications and customs valuations to ensure complete regulatory compliance.
• Additionally, you will actively coordinate with Freight Forwarders and carriers for booking and tracking, acting as the central communication hub for internal departments like Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance. Beyond resolving logistical bottlenecks on the fly, you will maintain systematic records for auditing and prepare regular status and cost analysis reports for management.

Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong 2–5 years of proven experience in import/export operations.
• Solid understanding of customs procedures, HTS classification, and Incoterms, alongside excellent written and verbal English communication skills essential for international coordination.
• Exceptionall attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a rapid problem-solving mindset enable you to thrive and manage your time effectively under pressure.
