Felix Schoeller North America Inc., part of a proud 125-year-old family-owned company headquartered in Germany that provides solutions to the digital print market is currently in search of a self-motivated individual who can work well both independently and with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This will be a long term (12 months or longer) temporary contract position and is based in Pulaski, NY. This position will assist with all operations of warehousing, shipping, receiving and materials’ handling as it applies to finished goods, work-in-process and materials.

This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and will be reviewed on a regular basis for progress of this department's objectives.

  • Marketing - obtain releases to ship finished goods.
  • Quality Assurance - ensure quality approval before shipping.
  • Accounting - free exchange of questions and answers pertaining to billing, payroll, inventories, etc.
  • Transportation Modes - daily contact with truck or air modes of transportation to make shipments as well as negotiate rates.
  • Maintenance – receipt and delivery of all required parts and equipment.
  • Fills pick and pack orders for all small format shipping (UPS)
  • Ensure on-time shipments of all outgoing materials.
  • Contact with modes of transportation utilized.

Personnel Supervised:

No direct personnel supervision. Provides direction to material handlers in regards to order picking, staging and loading.

Environment And Principal Problems:

Order priorities, rush orders, use of multiple systems, inconsistent transportation carriers.

Responsibilities:

Daily:

  • Prepare schedule and pick lists for daily shipment.
  • Ensure shipments go out and deliver on time.
  • Meet customer requirements for shipment. Ensure error-free work.
  • Ensure all housekeeping needs are met. Provide quality environment.
  • Conduct cycle counts for on-site warehouse.

Annually:

Conduct physical inventory and/or routine cycle count program for semi finished small format and roll materials.

Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma or a 2 year college degree from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of FSTP processes, procedures, and shipping requirements preferred.
  • Must possess knowledge of carriers, Bills of Lading, Canadian customs paperwork, shipping terminology (FAS etc.) billing and be able to ensure timely deliveries to the external customer.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, SFDC (Shop Floor Data Collection System), Outlook e-mail, calculator, fax machine, and copy machine.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Experience in a union environment desirable.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday- on site location
  • 40 hours/week

Job Types: Full time

Salary: $39,520 - $49,920 per year

  • 8 hour shift, typically 7 – 3:30 pm.

Experience:
