As the Supply Analyst, you will support the Midstream team in delivering a safe, reliable, and competitive supply chain for bp New Zealand. The role supports the Midstream team in the co-ordination of regulatory and compliance data for internal review and external compliance submissions for bpnz including FIA, ETS and MSO. The role supports assessment of Midstream commercial optimisation opportunities including co-ordination of stakeholder inputs for commercial modelling and supporting E2E delivery of Midstream commercial opportunities. The role provides cover for Supply Operations, Demand forecasting, and wider Midstream including Pricing, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, supporting delivery of the MC&M strategy.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide coordinating and analytical support for Midstream Supply Optimisation Team, including supporting the analysis of supply and infrastructure commercial opportunities, and exposure management.
- Analysis and coordination of data for Midstream regulatory reporting including coordination of Fuel Industry Act disclosures, Emissions Trading Scheme, and Minimum Stockholding Obligations.
- Provide cover to Supply Scheduling and other business critical operational activity in the Optimisation and Supply teams and wider Midstream support.
- Maintain strong working relationships internally with the Supply Optimisation, Scheduling, Logistics, Infrastructure, ST&S Teams, and externally with terminal operators, shipping agents/ports and other New Zealand oil companies.
- Assist with the administration, payment support.
- Undertake ad hoc data analysis to support optimisation and efficiency of assets.

- Strong team player who can maintain effective relationships across a broad spectrum even during times of uncertainty, time pressure, promotes open and effective communication
- Shown ability to generate ideas to solve problems under time pressure
- Performance bias with ability to overcome obstacles to deliver outstanding results
- Experience in operational businesses. Understanding supply chain operations and optimisation is desirable
- Ability to build consensus and engagement with key stakeholders across various teams and interfaces
- Resilience to manage change in a positive way
- Proven ability to work autonomously and be self-driven.
- High level of proficiency in MS suite, particularly Excel to undertake data analysis and reconciliations.
- Experience working with SAP, Ariba, or equivalent P2P systems.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
