This hands-on role supports daily production and packaging operations, helping ensure finished products are packed safely, efficiently, accurately, and to the required quality standards.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will work as part of a busy production team, supporting the smooth flow of product from filling through to dispatch. The role is suited to someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time, enjoys practical work, and is comfortable working in a cold food manufacturing environment.
What you’ll be doing
- Hand packing finished ice cream products into tubs, cartons, and multipacks.
- Preparing and supplying packaging materials, including tubs, lids, cartons, and labels.
- Supporting churn, filler, and line operations where required and where trained.
- Completing routine quality checks.
- Following food safety and health and safety procedures.
To be successful, you will bring
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, dairy, or a similar production environment is preferred.
- Understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP and GMP is desirable.
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with supervisors, technicians, and fellow operators.
- The ability to stand for extended periods and complete repetitive manual handling tasks.
- Comfort working in cold production conditions.
- A forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Full Driver's License - essential
- A hands-on role in a busy ice cream production environment.
