We’re Hiring: Spare Parts Operator – Maritime Trading Sector

📍 Location: Southern Suburbs of Athens

📅 Full-time position


Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about the maritime industry? Join our team and play a key role in ensuring the efficient handling and supply of spare parts for vessels worldwide.


About Us:

We are a well-established maritime trading company, specializing in the procurement and distribution of marine spare parts. With a solid presence in the global shipping market, we support our clients with reliability, speed, and technical expertise.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Handle customer inquiries and prepare accurate, competitive quotations for marine spare parts and equipment.
  • Review RFQs, identify requested parts, and source suitable Genuine, OEM, or equivalent alternatives.
  • Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers, considering price, availability, lead time, and technical suitability.
  • Manage the procurement process and place purchase orders with selected suppliers.
  • Liaise closely with customers and suppliers regarding quotations, orders, technical clarifications, and delivery schedules.
  • Follow up on open inquiries, quotations, and supplier offers to ensure timely responses.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure efficient and on-time collection and delivery of orders.
  • Verify part numbers, specifications, and compatibility of requested spare parts when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inquiries, quotations, purchase orders, and customer orders in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with internal sales, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order execution and high-quality customer service.


Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in the maritime or logistics sector
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to quickly adapt to company software and internal platforms
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken)
  • Knowledge of marine spare parts is a strong asset
  • Residence in or near the Southern Suburbs of Athens is considered a plus, due to the company’s location
