Hull Coordinator

Technomar Shipping Inc. is seeking a proactive professional to join our DryDock & Projects Department as a Hull Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for performing Pre-Drydock attendances for Hull condition assessment via UT measurements, review and calculate Steel renewal requirements, and attend Drydockings to execute Steel marking, renewal planning, and supervision of Hull repair works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend vessels prior scheduled Drydock to assess overall condition of Hull and other Steel structure and obtain ultra thickness measurements.
• Perform Steel renewal estimation calculations based on pre-Drydock attendance findings and assist in the preparation of the overall budget and work scope for Drydock Steel repairs during drydocks.
• Attend drydock as part of the site team to carry out steel renewal markings, prepare steel and cost estimates, follow up steel repairs, and coordinate the work of the certified UTM operator.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive reports covering inspection findings, steel renewal scope, budget performance, and technical outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements, cost optimization, and enhancement of internal processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture (mandatory), or equivalent.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus.
• Minimum 4 years as a UTM Technician with proven involvement in dry dock execution.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance with classification and regulatory standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
