Role Description The Heavy Equipment Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Alvin, TX. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment to move, load, and position containers and materials safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, following site safety protocols, and coordinating with supervisors and team members to complete loading, unloading, and transport activities. The Heavy Equipment Operator will assist with basic equipment maintenance, help identify any mechanical issues, and maintain a clean and organized work area. The role may involve working in varying weather conditions and requires consistent attention to operational safety and equipment care.


Qualifications

  • Strong equipment operation skills, including experience with heavy equipment and used equipment handling.
  • Ability to perform excavation or material movement tasks using appropriate heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance practices, including routine inspections and basic troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of site safety procedures and safe operating standards for heavy equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain or maintain any required equipment operator certifications.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required, and to work on-site in outdoor industrial environments.
  • Effective communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented approach to completing daily tasks.
