LSC Customs

The scope of this role is to support importers and exporters in meeting customs requirements for international shipments. :

Responsibilities

• Prepare customs documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods.
• Accountable for accurate and timely declaration.
• Ensure all documents are submitted timely to customs for audit.
• Periodical training / updates on the customs matters.
• Feedback to the customer (internal and external reporting of the shipments to the customer) by various means (mail, phone, EDI)
• Operational troubleshooting
• Non-conformance reporting in accordance with the KPI’s.

• Graduate of any discipline or 1 year of experience in customs declaration matters within the freight forwarding industry
• General knowledge of various local and International shipping and freight forwarding practices is an advantage.
• Combined excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to analyze situations and to make good decisions based on available information.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
• Knowledge in ERP systems, computer literacy in Microsoft Office will be an added advantage.
