Inspector - FZ Inspection

Job Description

Supervise and provide oversight of planned and unplanned inspections of FZ Companies for marine activities in Free zone in liaison with outsourced inspections team to regulate safe operations in Free Zones

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure all companies operating in the Zone have valid business license
• Conduct off site inspection on companies based on the Risk Based Approach
• Conduct onsite inspections of warehouses, offices, industrial units and other facilities periodically and report facility modifications and HSE violation
• Ensure all legal person carryout activities in accordance with their permitted business activity license
• Ensure all companies adhere to safety and storage of goods in line with HSE and competent authority guidelines
• Ensure all companies maintain Inventory system for incoming and outgoing goods
• Inspect and ensure all companies store permitted materials in the facility, and any hazardous, harmful or prohibited materials are not stored, in line with GCC Customs common law
• Ensure facilities are not utilized for offensive trade or for residential or illegal activities
• Ensure that there are no unlicensed / non-registered establishments within the same location / facility in the zone
• Conduct Employee inspection to ensure all employees operating in the facility are sponsored by Abu Dhabi Free Zone, and have valid ID card / access card
• Maintain a report on the FZ companies and actual number of employees
• Verify the employer settle the employee’s salaries and other benefits in line with the Employment contract
• Ensure all industrial and storage units have valid Workmen compensation Insurance, Fire and peril insurance, Third party liability insurance and employee health insurance
• Ensure all companies adhere to HSE Regulations, and certified by Abu Dhabi Civil Defense
• Ensure all companies maintain register for Beneficial Owner, Shareholders, minutes of meetings etc.
• Maintain report for Inspection outcome and impose administrative penalties as applicable
• Follow-up on non-compliance issues

Any other duties assigned by the Management

Qualifications

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

• Degree (Business Administration or equivalent)
• Full command and knowledge of Free Zone Rules and Regulations
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts

Language Skills:

• Excellent written and communication skills
• Fluent in Arabic and English

Years of Experience:

• 3+ Years of Experience in a Free Zone

Nature of Experience:

• Free Zone
