This role offers the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with experts in imaging, computational science, and biomedical research. Our research employs a wide array of methods, including high-field MRI imaging on a Bruker 9T scanner, chronic microelectrode implantation, slice electrophysiology, computational analysis, and 2-photon imaging on several preclinical models of brain injury. The Postdoctoral Fellow will report to the Director of NMR Research.
What You Will Do
- Undergo training and assist in performing standard laboratory and research procedures, including MR imaging, following strict adherence to established procedures or research protocols
- Maintain necessary medical records
- Perform a variety of research procedures
- Conduct MRI experiments combined with other approaches
- Perform advanced data analysis
- Help maintain equipment
- Prepare publications and presentations, and assist with proposals
- Education: Doctorate Medicine Required or Doctorate Biology Required or MD Medicine Required or MD Biology Required or PHD Medicine Required or PHD Biology Required
- Experience: 3 Years of experience in professional research laboratory
- Skills:
- Experience with preclinical models
- Experience with Bruker imagers
- Experience with behavior testing
- Experience with anesthesia
- Computer programming skills (e.g., Matlab) and data processing experience
- Good organizational and time management skills
