AMR Autonomous Control Middleware Development and System Integration

Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and develop a middleware platform that integrates management of devices, communication, diagnostics, and alarms in the AMR system, providing a stable operational foundation between upper-level autonomous control software and hardware.
■ Middleware Development
- Designing and developing ROS2-based AMR middleware
- Designing communication interfaces between Fleet Management System and robot control software
- Building and optimizing data pipelines between robots and control systems (message queues, protocol design)
- Developing intelligence modules for multi-robot collaborative control in middleware
- Defining and managing integrated interfaces with subsystems such as Navigation, Perception, and Localization
- Designing and integrating 3-tier architecture between control servers, edge computing, and robots for validation
- Designing service integration based on REST API / gRPC / DDS
- Developing interconnection interfaces with on-site equipment (PLC, conveyor, door, elevator, etc.)
- Collecting multi-sensor data (LiDAR, camera, IMU, etc.) and diagnostic data (motor, battery, communication logs, etc.), and building pipelines to convert rosbag and robot execution logs into standard episodes or datasets for learning and evaluation
- Managing data schema, metadata, version, and lineage, and validating data consistency including timestamp, coordinate frame, calibration, and sensor completeness
- Developing anomaly detection systems for data loss, sensor delays, TF errors, calibration abnormalities, and abnormal states
- Developing data curation pipelines based on robot success, failure, and edge cases
- Developing log and code-level failure reproduction and diagnostics tools
- Performing end-to-end root cause analysis by linking control system task, mission, route, state transition, timeout, and retry logs with robot data
- Managing lineage of datasets, AI models, robot configurations, software versions, and experiment results
- Automating learning, validation, and deployment workflows for perception models (object recognition, obstacle detection) and diagnostic models (failure prediction, LLM-based recovery)
- Integrating AI models into robot runtime and analyzing latency, throughput, resource usage, and failure modes
- Monitoring model performance, detecting drift, and managing versions
- Implementing feedback loops and automatic retraining pipelines for LLM-based recovery models
- Designing and automating Data Flywheel circulation structure connecting field sensor/diagnostic data collection → model learning/improvement → AMR deployment → performance evaluation
- Designing and implementing AI agent-based robot autonomous operation logic
- Developing mission scheduling, dynamic route reassignment, and autonomous recovery functions for exceptional situations
- Researching and developing autonomous decision-making modules using LLM/Rule-based hybrid approaches
- Building real-time status monitoring and event-based autonomous response systems
- Implementing system failure detection and automatic recovery mechanisms
- Converting research prototypes and iterative manual analysis into sustainable software and tools
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AMR middleware development
- Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS 2
- Professional proficiency in at least one of Python or C++
- Experience in model training, inference, and experiment management using frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX
- Experience in distributed systems or middleware development
- Experience designing communication protocols, such as TCP/IP, MQTT, gRPC, and DDS
- Experience developing and deploying software in Linux environments
- Experience developing or integrating AMR, AGV, or autonomous mobile robot systems
- MLOps experience in robotics or autonomous-driving domains, including deployment automation and performance monitoring
- Experience with sensor calibration and data fusion
- Experience processing large-scale rosbags, video data, or point clouds
- Experience designing and operating Docker/Kubernetes-based microservices architectures
- Experience with streaming data pipelines, such as Kafka
- Experience developing Fleet Management Systems or fleet control platforms
- Experience applying AI agents, LLM-based autonomous control, or decision-making systems
- Experience with multi-robot collaborative control, including task allocation and conflict resolution
- Experience integrating PLCs, SCADA, or smart factory equipment
- Experience with sim-to-real approaches or synthetic data
- Experience developing data annotation or human-in-the-loop (HITL) tools
- Experience delivering and operating robot systems in real-world logistics or manufacturing environments
