Role Description The AI Robotics Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Incheon, South Korea. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of AI-driven robotic systems, including robotic vision solutions and automated disassembly platforms for EV batteries. Daily activities include defining system architecture, coordinating hardware–software integration, configuring and optimizing robotic control algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in engineering, product, and operations. The AI Robotics Lead will oversee prototype testing, performance validation, and continuous improvement of production-line automation, while mentoring team members and contributing to technical roadmaps. The role also involves close collaboration with manufacturing partners, supporting deployments, and ensuring solutions meet safety, reliability, and sustainability standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Robotics skills, including robot kinematics, control, and integration in industrial environments.
- Candidates should possess Process Automation and Automation skills, with experience in designing and optimizing automated production lines.
- Candidates should possess Mechatronics skills, including mechanical design, sensors, actuators, and embedded control systems relevant to industrial robots.
- Candidates should possess Robot system implementation skills, such as programming robot controllers, configuring vision systems, and troubleshooting robotic equipment.
- Experience with AI or machine learning applied to robotics (e.g., vision-based inspection, motion planning, or process optimization).
- Proficiency with industrial communication protocols, PLCs, and control software used in factory automation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work safely and systematically in industrial settings.
- Professional working proficiency in English; Korean language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
