We are seeking highly motivated Camera Image Quality (IQ) Engineers to develop, optimize, and validate next-generation camera imaging solutions. The successful candidate will work on camera image quality tuning, ISP feature optimization, image processing algorithm evaluation, and AI-assisted tuning tool development for flagship mobile devices. 【Job Description】
As a Camera IQ Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating, optimizing, and validating image quality across Qualcomm camera platforms. You will work closely with ISP, algorithm, sensor, systems, and software teams to improve imaging performance in areas such as noise reduction, detail preservation, color reproduction, HDR, low-light imaging, and video quality.
In addition to traditional image quality tuning, you will contribute to the development of next-generation AI-powered tuning and analysis tools that improve tuning efficiency, automate image quality evaluation, and accelerate feature deployment across multiple camera platforms.
Responsibilities Include the Following
- Camera Image Quality Development
- Perform image quality tuning and optimization for Qualcomm camera platforms.
- Analyze and improve image processing performance across various imaging scenarios, including low-light, HDR, motion, and challenging lighting conditions.
- Evaluate and optimize ISP features such as denoise, sharpening, local tone mapping, Bayer processing, HDR, multi-frame processing, and AI-enhanced imaging features.
- Validate image quality using both objective KPIs and subjective visual assessments.
- Collaborate with algorithm, ISP, system, software, and sensor teams to identify and resolve complex image quality issues.
- Support camera feature evaluation, verification, and deployment for flagship mobile products.
- Drive root-cause analysis and debugging of camera pipeline issues across hardware and software components.
- Contribute to the development and validation of new camera features and image processing technologies.
- Participate in customer engagements and provide technical support for image quality-related topics.
- AI-Driven Tuning Tool Development (Key Focus Area)
3+ years of industry experience in camera, ISP, image processing, computational photography, or related areas.
Strong understanding of image signal processing, image quality evaluation, and camera system fundamentals.
Experience with camera IQ tuning, including one or more of the following: Noise reduction/Detail enhancement/Local tone mapping/HDR processing/Bayer processing/Color processing/Multi-frame imaging
Programming Experience In
Python
C/C++
【Preferred Qualifications】
- Experience with Qualcomm camera ISP architecture and IQ tuning.
- Experience in camera algorithm development or camera system optimization.
- Experience with camera simulation, validation, and performance analysis tools.
- Experience developing automation frameworks, tuning tools, or image quality analysis tools.
- Experience utilizing AI tools to improve engineering workflows and product development efficiency.
