Job Description

The Postdoctoral Fellow will support the clinical and translational research mission of the Department of Radiology, with an emphasis on advanced medical imaging, quantitative analysis, and the integration of imaging technologies into clinical workflows.

This position is well suited for a candidate with a strong background in medical physics and imaging science, particularly in CT and multimodal imaging. The fellow will contribute to projects that advance clinically meaningful applications in neuroradiology and multidisciplinary research, with opportunities to expand into AI-driven imaging analysis.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Publications: Lead and contribute to the preparation, submission, and revision of manuscripts for publication in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Grant Development: Develop scientific and technical components of grant proposals aligned with the fellow’s expertise, training, and research focus.
  • Conference Presentations: Prepare and present research findings at national scientific meetings, with an emphasis on oral presentations.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with investigators across departments and specialties to develop impactful research proposals and advance multidisciplinary initiatives.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior research trainees to promote productivity, methodological rigor, and professional development.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field

Preferred

  • Strong background in CT imaging and quantitative image analysis.
  • Experience with dual-energy CT or other advanced CT applications.
  • Familiarity with MRI and multimodal imaging techniques.
  • Experience conducting clinical or translational imaging research.
  • Experience working with clinical datasets and structured data workflows.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning methods for medical imaging.
  • Demonstrated research productivity through peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations.
