What We’re Looking For

Senior CAM & Toolpath Algorithms Engineer

We are developing a next-generation digital manufacturing platform for personalized

medical devices and advanced optical components. Our technology combines multi-axis

robotics, laser-based additive manufacturing, and computational geometry to fabricate

miniature, highly complex freeform structures with micron-level precision. We are seeking a

Senior Toolpath Algorithms Engineer to develop the core algorithms that transform complex 3D geometries into optimized laser toolpaths and multi-axis machine instructions, enabling accurate, repeatable, and efficient manufacturing of patient-specific components.

Develop algorithms to convert patient-specific CAD models into optimized laser toolpaths for complex freeform geometries.

Design adaptive slicing and surface-following strategies for miniature, highly irregular 3D

surfaces.

Generate synchronized multi-axis toolpaths and G-code for coordinated XYZ motion, A/B

rotary axes, and 3D Galvo scanning.

Optimize scan strategies, hatch patterns, beam orientation, deposition paths, and motion

sequencing to maximize dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and manufacturing efficiency.

Develop geometric algorithms for mesh processing, surface projection, contour generation,

offsetting, and collision avoidance.

Validate and refine toolpaths through simulation, machine testing, and close collaboration

with robotics, optics, and process engineering teams.

Multi-axis CAM and G-code generation

Computational geometry and geometric algorithms, Numerical optimization and

mathematical modeling

Mesh processing, STL, STEP, and CAD kernels

Surface parameterization and freeform surface machining

Toolpath optimization for additive or subtractive manufacturing

Multi-axis CNC or robotic manufacturing

C++ and Python for high-performance engineering softwareExperience with Open Cascade, CGAL, Eigen, or similar geometry libraries is highly desirable

Knowledge of laser-based manufacturing or additive manufacturing is a strong plus

years developing CAD/CAM software, toolpath generation software, CNC software, additive

manufacturing software, robotics software, or computational geometry applications.

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

Multi-axis CNC machining

CAM software development

Industrial robotics

Laser processing

Medical device manufacturing

Digital dentistry

Orthotics and prosthetics

Additive manufacturing

Experience developing algorithms for mass customization, patient-specific manufacturing, or

high-mix, low-volume production is highly desirable.
