This job position requires a mandatory National Security Clearance. Candidates must meet the essential NATO security requirements to be eligible for certification:

01 / Objective & Overview
Leads the engineering and integration of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and autonomous land platforms for defence, border security, logistics and reconnaissance applications. Oversees hardware and software architecture for ground mobility, perception, autonomous navigation and human-machine interfaces. Ensures compliance with NATO STANAG protocols for unmanned ground systems and manages the qualification and field evaluation programme for all land robotic platforms developed by Gaman.
02 // BASE FORMATION
- > MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- > Specialisation in autonomous systems, mobile robotics, mechatronics or vehicle dynamics
- > Complementary training in NATO STANAG 4586, RAS (Robotic and Autonomous Systems) doctrine, and safety-critical systems
- > Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and MIL-STD specifications
- Minimum 5 years in robotics or ground vehicle engineering, with at least 3 years leading multi-disciplinary UGV teams
- Experience designing and fielding autonomous or semi-autonomous ground platforms
- Track record in perception systems integration: LiDAR, radar, vision, IMU and sensor fusion
- Demonstrated expertise in autonomous navigation, path planning and situational awareness
- Experience with defence procurement cycles and ground vehicle qualification
- Knowledge of V2X communication, C2 architectures and interoperability with aerial systems is an asset
