Objective of the position
In this role, you will translate stakeholders, customers, and system requirements into detailed camera system specifications and architecture, ensuring clear traceability from concept through development and validation. You will define subsystem behavior and interfaces, and ensure seamless integration with software, hardware, and the operating environment.
Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams and the Team Lead Camera Systems, you will evaluate technical concepts, perform feasibility studies and risk assessments, and drive robust technical solutions that meet performance, quality, safety, and project objectives. You will also support system integration, verification, and activities to ensure reliable camera subsystem performance within the overall system.
Characterization of activities
- Translate customer and business needs into clear, prioritized functional and non-functional system requirements.
- Develop and maintain system architecture, system elements, and interface definitions while conducting design reviews.
- Perform system modeling, simulations, and trade-off analyses to support technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including software, functional safety, cybersecurity, electrical and mechanical engineering, verification, and project management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes, including maintaining camera FMEA.
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience, preferably within automotive, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
- Knowledge of requirements engineering, gained through formal training or hands-on industry experience.
- Experience in system architecture development and translating requirements into technical solutions, with expertise in camera systems, image processing, image recognition, and image stitching technologies.
- Proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools such as DOORS NG, Polarion, Capella, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex system interactions and interfaces.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of ASPICE, UNECE R46, MBSE.
- Salary based on knowledge and experience.
- Full-time employment of 40 hours per week.
- 8% holiday allowance.
- Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometer one way up to a maximum of 50 km
