About The Position

We are looking for a passionate and analytical Researcher in Computational Biology & Bioinformatics to join our growing R&D team. In this role, you will be at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology, developing models that translate complex biological data into actionable, real-world solutions for industrial and environmental sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Algorithmic Development: Design, implement, and optimize algorithms and computational models to analyze complex biochemical and multi-omics datasets.
  • Experimental Design: Formulate and conduct computational experiments to test biological hypotheses and rigorously validate results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with wet-lab scientists to seamlessly integrate experimental data with computational pipelines.
  • AI Integration: Contribute actively to the development and deployment of cutting-edge, AI-driven tools for advanced biological data interpretation.
  • Scientific Dissemination: Prepare project deliverables and technical reports for the European Commission, present findings at international conferences, and co-author manuscripts for high-impact scientific publications.
  • Continuous Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics, machine learning, and AI technologies to keep Idener at the forefront of the industry.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: MSc (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Data Science, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative/life-science discipline.
  • A strong foundational understanding of biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, and genomics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages essential for data analysis (e.g., Python, R, or C++) and experience applying statistical analysis to biological problems.
  • Sharp analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a strong willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset tailored for multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (working language for international projects).
