We are looking for exceptional Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineers to join our team! We take pride in our wide breadth of technical expertise to support the design, development, and delivery of complex products and solutions, and we are looking for like-minded individuals to share in the exciting experience of making an impact that matters. Successful candidates will be proactive, highly analytical, and have an unstoppable will to excel and contribute across various areas of technical and business operations. Prior military experience is welcome.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Embracing our start-up culture and vision to grow, learn, and build an authentic close-knit community
  • Take ownership of an Agile-backed software development lifecycle in order to meet customer-defined technical requirements
  • Research, develop, and implement models and algorithms for data analysis and curation
  • Direct aspects of technical solutions reliant on data science/machine learning through implementation, testing, and delivery
  • Work as part of a larger family of technical contributors and collaborate across team members, mission partners, and end customers
  • Provide thought leadership within this domain for solution ideation and technical whiteboarding

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in data mining techniques and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in feature engineering and model development/implementation
  • Proficiency in software/scripting languages, such as Java, Python, Scala, etc.
  • Proficiency in ML frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
  • Experience in Linux environments (CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Experience in analysis over large data sets, both structured and unstructured
  • Familiarity with technical ICDs and general data transformation

Preferred Knowledge And/or Skills

  • Open datasets and synthetic data generation
  • Processing frameworks, such as Spark, Hadoop, etc.
  • Deploying and using models in a production environment
  • Scalable processing techniques and performance considerations (e.g. HPC, CUDA)
  • Azure/AWS configuration and deployment of services
  • Presenting information using data visualization techniques
  • Technical writing and documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively across project/customer echelons

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as software engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, or other relevant data-driven area, or demonstrably equivalent work experience
  • US Citizenship
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Experience

  • DoD Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access
  • Prior experience or interaction with the US DoD or other government agency
