We're looking for an exceptional, hands-on Engineering Lead to raise the technical bar across our engineering teams.

This is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲. We’re not looking for someone who wants to spend their days in meetings, managing people, or reviewing work from a distance.

We’re looking for an engineering expert who still loves getting into the details, solving difficult problems, and building things that matter.

You'll work across projects, dive into complex systems, challenge technical decisions, and help engineers grow through real-world technical work.

At Gradion, we’re building an AI-first engineering culture. We want someone who can go beyond simply using AI to write code and help us rethink how software is designed, built, tested, and delivered.

What You'll Do

• Get hands-on with complex technical challenges across different projects, from architecture and system design to debugging and implementation.

• Review code and technical decisions, challenge assumptions, and help teams find better solutions.

• Work directly with engineers and Tech Leads to solve difficult problems and unblock teams.

• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, architecture discussions, and day-to-day technical challenges.

• Help engineers develop stronger technical judgment, problem-solving skills, and ownership.

• Drive practical adoption of AI across engineering, from AI-powered products to AI-native development workflows.

• Experiment with LLMs, AI APIs, agents, and emerging technologies, then turn what works into scalable engineering practices.

• Help establish practical standards for building reliable AI-powered systems, including evaluation, observability, security, performance, and cost.

• Raise the bar for engineering quality without creating unnecessary processes or bureaucracy.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴

• 10+ years of software engineering experience and, most importantly, you are still hands-on.

• Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, scalability, performance, and engineering best practices.

• Real experience building with AI, not just using AI coding assistants.

• Familiarity with technologies such as LLMs, AI APIs, agentic workflows, RAG, AI evaluation, or production AI systems.

• The ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and get to the root of complex technical problems.

• A genuine passion for mentoring engineers and helping them grow.

• Strong technical opinions, but enough pragmatism to know that context matters.

• Curiosity, high standards, and a habit of constantly exploring what's next.
