We are currently looking for an AI Engineer to join our Yokogawa Votiva Solutions team!

Role Description

The AI Engineer will join the Products & Innovation department to work on real-world AI products, including Warehouse Optimization, Manufacturing-related AI solutions, Knowledge Agents, AI Assistants and future multi-agent capabilities. The role focuses on turning business and operational challenges into practical AI-powered solutions using LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, multi-agent systems and Microsoft AI technologies.

This position is suitable for candidates who enjoy building production-ready AI applications, contributing technical ideas to product development and continuously expanding their AI skills across Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.

Key professional responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications, multi-agent systems and intelligent automation solutions to support Warehouse Optimization, Manufacturing and other business innovation initiatives
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of AI-powered products throughout the product lifecycle by researching, developing and enhancing capabilities such as optimization services, recommendation engines, AI Assistants, Knowledge Agents, Operational Intelligence solutions and future generations of agentic AI and multi-agent features
• Design and develop data integration, knowledge retrieval and AI processing pipelines that connect Microsoft Dynamics 365, enterprise databases, APIs and other business systems to AI-powered products and multi-agent solutions.
• Develop scalable AI services, intelligent platforms, agent frameworks and multi-agent solutions using Python, Microsoft Foundry and modern AI engineering practices, while continuously improving solution quality, performance, scalability and user experience.
• Be trained and continuously develop AI skills on Microsoft Copilot Studio to build enterprise agents, multi-agent solutions and integrations across Microsoft business applications

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, IT, Computer Science, Software Technology, or a related field.

Must have:

1. AI Application Development

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate manufacturing, warehouse and business operational requirements into AI-powered solutions and operational improvements.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search and semantic retrieval to build enterprise AI assistants and knowledge agents.
• Practical experience designing and deploying AI applications using Microsoft Foundry, OpenAI models or similar AI platforms.

1. Agentic AI, Multi-Agent Systems & MCP

• Experience designing and developing agentic AI solutions and multi-agent systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Agents SDK, AutoGen, CrewAI or similar technologies to orchestrate workflows and coordinate specialized agents.
• Experience or strong familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting AI agents to tools, data sources and external systems.
• Experience integrating AI agents with APIs, databases and enterprise systems to automate operational workflows.

1. Programming & Backend Engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python for developing AI applications, backend services and enterprise integrations.
• Experience developing production-ready APIs and AI services using FastAPI or similar backend frameworks.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar databases to support AI-powered applications.

1. Microsoft Copilot Studio & AI Ecosystem

• Open to be trained and apply Microsoft Copilot Studio to build enterprise agents, multi-agent solutions and integrations with MCP and other Microsoft business applications.
• Experience using Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Search or related AI services is an advantage.

1. Communication & Experience

• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain AI concepts and solution designs to both technical and business audiences.
• Proficiency in English for technical documentation and collaboration with international stakeholders.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AI engineering, AI application development or enterprise AI integration projects.

Nice to have:

1. Warehouse Optimization & Operational Intelligence

• Experience applying AI technologies to warehouse optimization scenarios such as inventory optimization, slotting optimization, forecasting or decision support.
• Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing-related business operations.

1. Microsoft Business Applications

• Experience working with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management or other ERP platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft 365 applications and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).

1. Additional Skills

• Familiarity with Responsible AI principles and data privacy considerations.
• Experience developing user interfaces using ReactJS or TypeScript is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
