Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We are hiring an AI Engineer to build and ship computer vision features into a

live ecommerce environment. You will own model work end to end: framing

the problem, preparing and labelling data, training or fine-tuning, evaluating,

and then getting the result in front of real customers through our WordPress-

based storefront. This is a hands-on, single-threaded build role rather than a

research post. If you want to see your models change conversion numbers

within weeks, this is that job.

What you will actually be doing

• Building computer vision models for product-facing problems: visual search, automated product image tagging and enrichment, image quality checks on supplier-supplied assets, duplicate and mismatchdetection across the catalogue
• Writing production Python: data pipelines, inference services, batch jobs, and the APIs that sit between the models and the site
• Integrating those services into a WordPress and WooCommerce stack, working with plugins, REST endpoints, and the existing theme and template layer

Must haves

• 1+ year of commercial experience in an AI, ML, or data engineering role (internships and placements count where the work was substantive)
• Strong Python, including at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Demonstrable computer vision experience: image classification, object detection, segmentation, OCR, or embedding-based image similarity.
