Experience: 12+ Years

Work Mode: Full-time / Permanent (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced engineering leader with deep expertise in Embedded Computer Vision, Machine Learning (CVML), and camera/sensor-based systems to drive next-generation intelligent automation in manufacturing.

This role will lead the design and deployment of AI-powered vision systems integrated with cameras and sensors on embedded platforms, enabling real-time inspection, process control, and data-driven manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of CVML-based automation solutions on embedded platforms.
  • Develop and implement real-time computer vision systems using camera-based inspection and sensor-driven data acquisition.
  • Design and integrate machine vision systems, including camera modules, optics, lighting, and image sensors.
  • Work with sensor-based systems (e.g., proximity sensors, LiDAR, IR, and sensor fusion) for intelligent automation.
  • Deploy ML models on edge/embedded devices ensuring low latency and high performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Drive adoption of AI/ML and edge computing technologies in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to solve process, product, and equipment challenges using vision and sensor data.
  • Lead capital equipment projects including vendor selection, system integration, and commissioning.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) with integrated CVML and sensor-based solutions.
  • Execute process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform Gauge R&R, process capability analysis, and statistical validation.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality systems, and documentation practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field).
  • 12+ years of experience in embedded systems, industrial automation, and computer vision.
  • Proven experience with camera-based vision systems and sensor integration in real-world applications.
  • Strong expertise in deploying ML/CV models on embedded or edge devices.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ with experience in performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with computer vision frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow Lite, or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Camera systems (area scan, line scan, calibration, optics, lighting)
  • Image sensors and acquisition pipelines
  • Sensor technologies (sensor fusion, LiDAR, IR, industrial sensors)
  • Experience with real-time image processing, object detection, classification, and anomaly detection.
  • Exposure to edge AI hardware (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Intel Movidius, or similar).
  • Experience with industrial automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, robotics, machine vision systems).
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and production environments.
  • Familiarity with quality and statistical tools (PFMEA, SPC, Gauge R&R).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
