Principle Duties And Essential Functions

• Component qualification of optoelectronic transmitter and receiver components in the high-gigabit range (10 Gbit/s and higher)
• Component qualification of specialized electronic components (CDR, EDC, FEC)
• Evaluation and implementation of modern modulation schemes
• Research in the field of cutting-edge optical and optoelectronic technologies with the goal of commercialization
• Management and execution of optical development projects
• Cross-departmental technical support

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required

• Completed degree or vocational training in telecommunications engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field
• Knowledge and experience in the following areas are an advantage:
• Design of optical networks for high-bit-rate data transmission (fiber optics)
• Transmission protocols in telecommunications
• Optical transmitter and receiver components, filters, amplifiers
• Measurement technology, standards, and specifications
• Proficiency in German and English
• Ability to work in a team and reliability
• Initiative and commitment

Aufgaben

• Komponentenqualifizierung von optoelektronischen Sende- und Empfangsbauelementen im oberen Gigabitbereich (10Gbit/s und höher)
• Komponentenqualifizierung von spezialisierten elektronischen Bauelementen (CDR, EDC, FEC)
• Evaluierung und Implementierung moderner Modulationsverfahren
• Forschungstätigkeit im Bereich zukunftsweisender optischer und optoelektronischer Technologien mit dem Ziel der Kommerzialisierung
• Leitung und Durchführung von optischen Entwicklungsprojekten
• Abteilungsübergreifende fachliche Unterstützung

Anforderungen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium oder Berufsausbildung in den Fachrichtungen Nachrichtentechnik, Elektrotechnik, Physik, o. ä.
• Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen auf folgenden Gebieten sind von Vorteil:
• Design von optischen Netzwerken zur hochbitratigen Datenübertragung (Glasfaser)
• Übertragungsprotokolle in der Telekommunikation
• Optische Sende- und Empfangsbauelemente, Filter, Verstärker
• Messtechnik, Standards und Normen
• Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
• Teamfähigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit
• Eigeninitiative und Engagement
