Perception Robotics Architect

Do you want to join a well established and scaling robotics team shaping advanced perception for complex robotic systems?

We are partnered with a global technology firm, who are developing cutting edge AI, robotics, cloud, and automation solutions and are continuing to grow their team shaping scalable robotics solutions across various projects in changing environments.

They’re looking for a Perception Robotics Architect to define and own the architecture of advanced robotics perception systems, combining computer vision, sensor fusion, AI/ML, localisation, and real-time processing across physical robotic platforms.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture of end-to-end robotics perception systems.
  • Design scalable solutions across computer vision, sensor fusion, AI/ML, and localisation.
  • Define and optimise AI/ML solutions for perception, from model selection through to production deployment.
  • Integrate perception with navigation, planning, manipulation, and control.
  • Lead technical teams through architecture and design decisions.
  • Optimise perception systems for accuracy, latency, and real-world performance.
  • Evaluate emerging robotics and AI technologies and turn them into practical solutions.
  • Translate client requirements into technical architectures and roadmaps.

About You

  • 8+ years of software development experience with C/C++ and Python, including 4+ years at Lead or Architect level.
  • Strong experience delivering robotics perception and computer vision systems into production.
  • Strong knowledge of SLAM, localisation, mapping, and sensor fusion.
  • Expertise in ROS/ROS2, OpenCV, PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with object detection, segmentation, tracking, and 3D/point cloud processing.
  • Experience working with robotics sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, and RGB-D.
  • Familiarity with robotics simulation and synthetic data, ideally Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Blender, or Genesis.
  • Advanced English and German (C1) proficiency.
