AI Machine Learning Engineer

The Role

• Lead the transformation of legacy insurance platforms, bridging modern AI/ML technologies with existing systems.
• Develop and enhance AI-driven document summarization capabilities and define next-generation underwriting solutions.
• Serve as a technical lead, mentor, and modernization strategist, guiding the adoption of AI strategy.
• Hands-on development of AI/ML workflows, including prompt engineering, using AWS services and LLMs.
• Mentor and train teams on AI strategy within Life Underwriting.
• Focus on modernizing mainframe and Micro Focus COBOL ecosystems into scalable AI-enabled solutions.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer with a background in legacy transformations (mainframe, Micro Focus COBOL, Linux).
• Experience integrating AI/ML tools, APIs, or platforms (e.g., OpenAI API, Azure AI, AWS Bedrock).
• Strong proficiency in prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques for Large Language Models.
• Solid understanding of modern software development practices including CI/CD, Git, and REST API development.
• Expertise in Linux, Java, Spring, and Python.
• Familiarity with IDE ecosystems and developer tooling.
