Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Asura Technologies Ltd. is a rapidly growing technology firm that creates Machine Learning based video analytic tools. We specialize in developing fast-speed cutting-edge neural networks and edge services that enable our clients to harness the power of data and artificial intelligence to solve transport and traffic related problems.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our research team and be responsible for designing, implementing and deploying machine learning models for various applications. This will involve data preparation, model selection and training, performance evaluation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Machine Learning research team and Production team to understand and help satisfy business requirements
• Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models for computer vision
• Prepare and preprocess data for machine learning workflows, including feature engineering and data cleaning
• Train and optimize machine learning models
• Evaluate the performance of machine learning models and make recommendations for improvements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest machine learning technologies and tools
• Read and understand state of the art papers in computer vision methods and algorithms

REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in machine learning or a related field
• Proficiency in Python
• Proficiency in data analytic tools such as NumPy, Pandas
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and workflows
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with computer vision tools like openCV
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and working with PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with MLOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, CUDA
• Strong version control and task management experience e.g. Jira, Git
• Analytical thinking for connecting ML pipelines and discovering their possible falls
• Working proficiency in Hungarian

NICE TO HAVE

• Proficiency in C++
• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Experience with object detection tasks and object tracking
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, or support team members
