We are seeking an experienced Optical Metrology & Machine Vision Engineer to design and deploy advanced measurement and inspection systems for manufacturing and product-development environments


.
This role combines optical systems, image processing, machine learning, and software integration. The ideal candidate can take innovative measurement technology from early-stage development through deployment as a reliable manufacturing solutio

What You’ll

  • DoDesign, build, test, and deploy optical metrology and machine vision syste
  • ms.Develop image-processing algorithms for feature extraction, classification, inspection, and precision measureme
  • nt.Train and deploy machine-learning models, including CNNs, to improve measurement performan
  • ce.Integrate cameras, optical components, measurement instruments, motion systems, software, and manufacturing equipme
  • nt.Partner with Development, Quality, IT, Engineering, and Operations to define requirements and integrate solutio
  • ns.Transition new technology from proof of concept to production-ready syste
  • ms.Analyze system data, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement improvemen
  • ts.Create system specifications, operating procedures, and software documentati
  • on.Train engineering, maintenance, and operations teams on deployed syste
  • ms.Provide remote and onsite technical support as need

Required Qualificat

  • ionsBachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree preferred in Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fi
  • eld.At least seven years of relevant experie
  • nce.Hands-on experience with optical systems, imaging hardware, cameras, and measurement instrume
  • nts.Strong programming skills in Python and/or
  • C#.Experience with machine vision methods such as edge detection, blob analysis, morphology, feature extraction, and classificat
  • ion.Experience training CNNs and applying traditional machine-learning techniq
  • ues.Experience retrieving, analyzing, plotting, and interpreting data using Python, MATLAB, or Ex
  • cel.Experience with OpenCV, HALCON, LabVIEW, or similar development to
  • ols.Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving ski
