Job Title: Optical Metrology & Machine Vision Engineer

Location: 100% Onsite (Corning NY )

Duration: 12 months contract

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced optical measurement and machine vision systems for manufacturing and product inspection. The ideal candidate will have experience with optical systems, image processing, machine vision, and machine learning to solve complex measurement and quality challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test optical metrology and machine vision systems.
• Develop image processing and machine vision algorithms.
• Write and maintain software using Python and/or C#.
• Train and deploy machine learning models for inspection and measurement.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams.
• Troubleshoot and optimize measurement systems.
• Create technical documentation and train end users.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in optical metrology or machine vision.
• Hands-on experience with optical systems, cameras, imaging hardware, and measurement instruments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C#.
• Experience with image processing and machine vision algorithms.
• Experience with OpenCV, Halcon, LabVIEW, or similar vision software.
• Knowledge of machine learning for image analysis.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
