Motion Planning Engineer at BairesDev

As a Motion Planning Engineer, you will design and develop the decision-making and path-execution logic for autonomous systems. You will focus on creating efficient, collision-free trajectories that allow vehicles or robotic platforms to navigate complex environments in real-time.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement state-of-the-art motion planning algorithms for complex navigational tasks.
  • Develop trajectory optimization techniques to ensure smooth and safe movement within dynamic environments.
  • Address kinematic and dynamic constraints to maintain system stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with perception and control teams to integrate planning logic into the full autonomy stack.
  • Optimize high-performance code to meet strict real-time processing requirements.
  • Evaluate and refine planning strategies through extensive simulation and testing.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on robotics or autonomous vehicles.
  • Advanced proficiency in C++ for developing high-performance, real-time robotics applications.
  • Proven expertise in implementing motion planning algorithms such as RRT, A*, or lattice planners.
  • Hands-on experience with trajectory optimization and managing real-time constraints in autonomous systems.
  • Strong understanding of kinematics and motion planning fundamentals for robotics.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
