About The RoleIn this role, you will define the technical vision for computer vision and generative AI solutions that power real business outcomes. You will help shape the direction of visual AI initiatives within SoftServe’s AI and Data Science Center of Excellence, a community of more than 170 AI and ML specialists. Working closely with technical teams and clients, you will lead the journey from research to production, enabling scalable solutions across image generation, multimodal intelligence, and 3D scene understanding
Responsibilities
- Define the technical vision for computer vision systems covering generative AI, multimodal intelligence, and 3D scene understanding while aligning engineering decisions with business goals and innovation priorities
- Lead the design and delivery of production-ready computer vision pipelines using technologies such as PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, or Triton while establishing engineering standards and quality benchmarks across the team
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, ML Architects, and clients to translate complex business requirements into scalable visual AI solutions
- Architect generative and multimodal AI models, including diffusion models, transformers, and vision-language models, optimized for production environments
- Establish and continuously improve engineering processes covering model training pipelines, cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP, and MLOps best practices
- Mentor Computer Vision Engineers by sharing expertise in classical computer vision, deep learning, and emerging visual AI technologies while supporting technical growth across the team
- Contribute to technical leadership through publications, client engagements, industry events, and participation in research communities
- Extensive experience with Python and PyTorch, supported by a proven track record of delivering end-to-end computer vision systems in production
- Deep knowledge of classical computer vision techniques, including camera calibration, feature matching, homography estimation, and geometric scene understanding
- Advanced expertise in generative AI and multimodal systems, including diffusion models, transformers, and vision-language models
- Proven experience with model optimization and deployment using ONNX, TensorRT, or Triton across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding or mentoring Computer Vision Engineering teams while driving technical direction and engineering best practices
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to define computer vision strategy and communicate technical decisions to clients and executive audiences
- Academic background in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency with effective spoken and written communication skills
