I’m working with alongside a robotics company in Herentals developing next-generation solutions using AI and computer vision. They’re looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to build perception systems that help robots understand and interact with their environment. You’ll be responsible for object detection, tracking, segmentation, 3D vision, and deep learning, taking models from development through to real-world deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise computer vision and deep learning models for robotic perception.
- Develop AI solutions for object detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, pose estimation, and anomaly detection.
- Work with camera and sensor data to enable robots to accurately perceive and understand their environment.
- Develop and maintain data processing, labelling, and annotation pipelines for large-scale vision datasets.
- Integrate computer vision algorithms with robotic systems and real-time applications.
- Deploy and optimise AI models for production and edge environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
Your Profile
- 2–8 years of experience in Computer Vision, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience developing production-ready computer vision or deep learning models.
- Hands-on experience with object detection, image segmentation, classification, tracking, or 3D computer vision.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, or similar frameworks.
- Good understanding of machine learning model deployment and optimisation.
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or robotic perception.
- Knowledge of 3D vision, point clouds, depth cameras, stereo vision, or LiDAR.
- Experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics frameworks.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA CUDA, TensorRT, or optimisation for real-time inference.
- Experience with edge AI or deploying models directly onto robotic/embedded hardware.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps, or cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with C++ alongside Python.
- Knowledge of SLAM, sensor fusion, object tracking, or pose estimation.
