This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working with advanced technologies, and building strong relationships with customers.

Whether your background is in semiconductor equipment, optical metrology, photonics, laser systems, or precision instrumentation, you'll join a collaborative engineering team delivering solutions at the forefront of high-tech manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and qualify advanced semiconductor, optical, or laser-based systems at customer sites.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis to maximise equipment performance and uptime.
  • Deliver customer training on system operation, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Support application development, process optimisation, and equipment acceptance activities.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and system upgrades.
  • Investigate technical issues using structured root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
  • Work closely with R&D, Product Management, and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and support future product development.
  • Produce clear technical reports, service documentation, and customer visit summaries.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers by providing a high level of technical expertise and support.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting complex semiconductor equipment, optical systems, laser technologies, or precision instrumentation.
  • Strong fault-finding skills across optical, electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic systems.
  • Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, servicing, or customer applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally when required.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Physics, Photonics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

Desirable Experience

  • Semiconductor manufacturing equipment or wafer processing technologies.
  • Optical metrology, microscopy, interferometry, or machine vision systems.
  • Laser systems, photonics, or precision optics.
  • Motion control, automation, or robotics.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Python or similar tools.
  • Cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing environments.

Why Join?

This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the most advanced optical and semiconductor technologies available today. You'll support customers developing the next generation of microelectronics while expanding your own technical expertise through exposure to innovative products, challenging applications, and a collaborative international engineering environment.

If you're looking to take the next step in your career and work on technologies that genuinely shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing and photonics, we'd love to hear from you.
