This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a critical software platform while helping shape its continued technical evolution.
Pay: $150,000.00 - 160,000.00 per year
What You’ll Do
- Support the ongoing sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of the X-Midas baseline across the Intelligence Community
- Design, develop, test, and validate X-Midas modules and software components against established technical requirements
- Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines that support repeatable and efficient software delivery
- Analyze existing applications and system dependencies to implement enhancements with minimal disruption to operational environments
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, architecture, scalability, and overall system stability
- Work closely with a small, experienced engineering team distributed across multiple locations
- Contribute to technical planning and architectural decisions
- Collaborate with team members across engineering disciplines and provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced developers
- Apply sound software engineering practices throughout the development and sustainment life cycle
- Active TS security clearance required; TS/SCI preferred
- 7+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using X-Midas
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Strong development experience with C++ and Python
- Experience with additional programming languages is a plus
- Proven experience developing, deploying, and supporting production software
- Hands-on experience creating, testing, and validating X-Midas modules and components
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments, preferably Rocky Linux, RHEL, or similar
- Experience using Git for source control
- Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional Agile development environment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
Signal Processing & DSP
- Background developing software for digital signal processing applications
- Familiarity with signal detection, spectrum monitoring, geolocation, or related signal-processing technologies
- Experience testing, debugging, profiling, and optimizing complex signal-processing applications
- Experience working in multi-language software environments where performance and reliability are critical
- Understanding of modern DevOps methodologies and development workflows
- Experience designing or supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with continuous integration and automated deployment practices
- Experience evaluating existing systems, mapping dependencies, and introducing changes while minimizing operational impact
- Shell scripting and automation experience
- Familiarity with software performance analysis and system optimization
- Experience applying secure development practices within classified or government environments
- Understanding of software security and compliance requirements associated with mission-critical systems
- Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable
- Willingness to complete a polygraph examination, if required
