Job Duties
- Works closely with technical leadership team to drive cross functional and divisional projects and solutions for their assigned category and division.
- Drives efficiency improvement and scrap reduction efforts through the application of continuous improvement tools and system designs.
- Provides design solutions and training for the effective implementation of center lining, pinning, and run to target processes using all available systems and resources.
- Implements standards and design practices for vision system and quality inspection measurements that align with all other Absorbent Hygiene (AbHy) divisions of the company.
- Drives and owns productivity projects and involves plant personnel to achieve targets across all departments.
- Provides system design expertise, training, and guidance on all machine vision systems.
- Delivers excellence in service and project coordination for machine vision systems within assigned division.
- Plays a key role in partnering with cross functional teams to ensure raw materials and processes are meeting specifications and design parameters.
- Ability to operate as an individual contributor and leader as needed based on business dynamics and facilitation needs.
- Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Develops proposals, budgets, Capital Equipment Requests (CERs), and electronic requisition (ereq) recommendations as needed.
- Develops, implements, and facilitates training programs in machine vision system processes.
- Delivers machine vision system improvement objectives and content to meet business needs.
- Facilitates and performs machine vision system training workshops.
- Additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering principles strongly preferred. Associate degree or technical certification with combined experience in quality assurance, process improvement, data analytics, and leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience in understanding camera vision systems and executing quality policies, systems, and procedures.
- Ability to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
- Able to present ideas / issues effectively, actively listen, and work across functional boundaries with the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
- Intermediate to advanced user in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint
- Ability to write, edit, and understand sequences of operations.
