What To Expect
The AI Engineering department defines and establishes and goal-orientated development processes, methods, and tools for safe and secure AI-based applications. The focus lies on the development and application of safety and security-by-design methods for AI-based components, as well as on the investigation of safe human-AI interaction.
Your tasks
- Creation of 3D assets: Designing and modelling 3D objects and environments using Blender, for use in VR/AR demonstrators
- Implementation and integration: Incorporating the created 3D assets into VR/AR environments using the Unreal game engine
- Programming VR/AR functionalities: Developing simple scripts and functions in Unreal to control VR/AR interactions and support the overall design
- Support in the development and optimization of VR/AR demonstrators: Collaborating on the planning, design and implementation of virtual application scenarios for autonomous mobility and logistics solutions
- Testing and debugging: Carrying out tests to ensure the functionality and performance of the VR/AR demonstrators; troubleshooting and optimising applications
- A student enrolled in a degree programme in Computer Science or a related field, such as Visual Computing
- Good knowledge of creating 3D assets using Blender
- Basic programming skills and some practical experience in developing applications with Unreal in a VR/AR environment
- High level of motivation and a willingness to familiarise yourself with new technologies and tools
- Good written and spoken English; knowledge of German
