Job title: Analytics Engineer

Office location: Spanskih boraca, Belgrade - Hybrid working (3 days in the office)


About the role and the Team:

The Analytics Engineer is a key member of the Centralized Strategy department, responsible for turning data into actionable insight that shapes strategic and operational decisions at the highest level. This role will lead initiatives end-to-end, from designing analyses and building models to presenting results to stakeholders, including the Executive team and the Board.


Acting as both a hands-on problem solver and a mentor, the Analytics Engineer bridges the gap between traditional business intelligence and emerging technologies, delivering predictive insights, automating workflows, and upskilling the team. Success in this role means creating measurable business impact through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI, while elevating the capability and influence of the entire analytics function.


What will you be doing?


Advanced Analytics & Insight Delivery

  • Design, build, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models (e.g., churn, segmentation, forecasting).
  • Translate complex business problems into analytical solutions with clear, actionable outcomes.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources to produce unified, high-quality analysis.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, business-focused manner.
  • Continuously explore and implement novel analytics approaches, including machine learning and AI applications


Automation & Technical Enablement

  • Develop automated data pipelines and workflows using SQL, Python, and modern analytics tools.
  • Reduce manual effort in recurring reporting, increasing speed and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Create reusable scripts, templates, and tools for the analytics team to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data engineering to ensure robust, scalable data infrastructure for analytics.
  • Maintain and optimize analytics solutions to adapt to evolving business needs


Team Upskilling & Capability Building

  • Act as a mentor and technical coach to analysts, guiding them in SQL, Python, and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Introduce and standardize best practices in analytics, documentation, and model governance.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity and experimentation within the analytics team.
  • Share knowledge through workshops, training sessions, and one-on-one guidance.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and advanced analytics tools across the business.


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree (technical or finance university) or relevant experience
  • Previous experience in related data analysis
  • Advanced user of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power point) with expert knowledge of Excel
  • Previous experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools, including Tableau and similar platforms
  • Proven experience in advanced analytics and machine learning development using Python or comparable programming languages
  • Certification in a BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, etc.), SQL, Excel, or another relevant tool - DESIRABLE
