Algorithm Developer Laser Scanning, China

Role Purpose

The Algorithm Developer Laser Scanning contributes to build up expertise at ZEISS IQS China to develop metrology-grade handheld laser scanners. This role includes deep technical knowledge across mathematics, optical measurements, regression methods, image processing, embedded computing

Key Responsibilities

• You define and implement the sensor calibration strategies to achieve metrology-grade accuracy

• You are responsible for the development, implementation and test of metrology algorithms from image acquisition to 3D point generation of the laser scanning device

• You are responsible for system validation using internationally accepted verification procedures (ISO 10360)

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree in mathematics, computer science or related field

• Solid knowledge of C++ for developing and implementing algorithms

• Fast creation of mathematical prototype models with MATLAB or comparable platforms

• Experience and interest in image processing and computer vision

• Experience in developing optical measurement devices
