What You’ll Do

As an AI Technologist (AI Architect), you will lead the design, development, and delivery of rapid-turnaround AI/ML prototypes and demonstrations that showcase the power of Teradata Vantage and ClearScape Analytics. You will engage directly with manufacturing, financial services, telco, retail and government to understand their business goals, shape AI/ML use cases, and build compelling solutions that demonstrate measurable value.

Who You’ll Work With

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of Industry Consultants, Data Scientists, Delivery Engineers, and Cloud Specialists. The role partners closely with customer stakeholders—ranging from engineering teams to executive leaders—to guide solution direction and accelerate value. The position reports into Teradata’s AI/ML solutions organization.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI/ML solutions in production
• Advanced Python programming skills and strong SQL capability
• Proven experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LangChain)
• Experience selecting, evaluating, and deploying open-source models (e. g. , Hugging Face)
• Strong communication skills and experience facilitating client workshops and discovery sessions
• Native or Business level Japanese language skills and English fluency

What You’ll Bring

• Experience developing retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and agentic AI workflows
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security considerations in AI systems
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver high-quality output under tight timelines
• Experience creating reusable AI libraries, templates, and best-practice documentation
• Previous experience with one or more of these Industries: manufacturing, financial services, telco, retail and government
• Ability to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions
