Role positioning

AI GG is a future AI Builder who can embed Computer Science–based AI into real consumer hardware products, and drive AI capability from concept to scale — not a pure algorithm researcher, nor a pure embedded engineer.

Core professional requirements

• Master’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or related field from a top-tier university (QS Top 100 or 985/211)
• Strong Computer Science / AI/ML fundamentals (ML/DL, data modelling, system thinking)
• Understanding of embedded / edge AI (MCU/MPU, constrained environments, TinyML, model optimization)
• Ability to design device + cloud AI collaboration (what runs on-device vs in-cloud, lifecycle & FOTA mindset)
• Strong ability to understand technical subtle

Critical soft skills

• Communication skills: Able to articulate complex technical details clearly and precisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity in new space: comfortable building AI in a new product domain (AI + vapour/consumer electronics)
• Stakeholder management: balancing trade-offs across AI, firmware, product, and manufacturing
• Problem-solving mindset: structured approach to messy data and real-world constraints
