Artificial Intelligence Engineer

🚀 GTM / Forward Deployed AI Engineer | Research Triangle, NC | Hybrid | Circa $150K + Equity

I'm currently partnering with a high-growth AI SaaS organisation looking for a GTM / Forward Deployed AI Engineer to sit at the intersection of AI Engineering, Product and Commercial teams.

This isn't a traditional Software Engineering role.

You'll work directly with customers to understand their challenges, build and deploy AI solutions, and demonstrate the commercial value behind the technology.

The Role:

• Work directly with enterprise customers from discovery through to delivery.
• Build and deploy production AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI and APIs.
• Develop rapid prototypes and Proof of Concepts around real customer problems.
• Partner with Sales and Product throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes.
• Help take successful AI use cases from initial concept into production.

What we're looking for:

• Strong hands-on background in AI Engineering, Machine Learning or Software Engineering.
• Experience building production applications using Python, LLMs, RAG and modern AI frameworks.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience across Pre-Sales, Solutioning, Consulting or Technical Delivery would be highly advantageous.
• Commercially minded with an understanding of ROI and business value.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
