Job Description
Technical expert that will independently identify, engineer, and optimize new data, software, or technology solutions that address critical business needs. Continuously seek to improve existing methods and processes. Read and adapt literature and publicly available information to accomplish assignments. Demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of techniques and methods for information technology engineering, including software development, data warehousing, statistics, machine learning, and/or technology infrastructure (including servers, storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments). Technology Engineers will be aligned to a specific area: Information, Software, Data, or Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Independently design and develop data, software, agentic development, AI-assisted tooling, and technology solutions to address scientific and business questions.
- Demonstrate proficiency across a broad range of technologies, including:
- Programming languages
- Data integration
- Data warehousing
- Data visualization and analytics
- AI-assisted development tools
- Agentic workflows
- Automation technologies
- Apply approved AI tools responsibly to accelerate:
- Ideation
- Requirements refinement
- Prototyping
- Code generation
- Testing
- Documentation
- Continuous improvement
- Ensure all AI-assisted work maintains:
- Human review and oversight
- Traceability
- Security and compliance
- Alignment with enterprise standards
- Leverage Low-Code and No-Code development tools and pipelines to build solutions for R&D business users.
- Gather, analyze, and translate R&D business requirements into well-defined user stories.
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field and at least 5 years relevant experience; or Masters Degree in relevant field and at least 4 years experience.
- Experience working in agile delivery teams with a clear mission, backlog ownership, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and definition of ready/done.
- Understand project objectives and his/her role in achieving them, adapting approach as needed. Escalate open issues and keep stakeholders informed through effective communication.
- Learn, understand, and master new methods and technologies, and act as a resource or mentor for others.
- Effectively organize and present project objectives and progress. Contribute to technical publications and presentations.
- Provide users story refinement and story point estimates/quotes for stakeholders.
- Produces and maintains required technical documentation associated with work product.
