Agentic Software Engineer III arrivia Phoenix, AZ · Full-time

Own technical delivery end to end on arrivia's travel platform, design through production, using AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as core development tools rather than a bolt-on. You'll lead technical efforts within your team and mentor junior engineers along the way, onsite at arrivia's Phoenix headquarters.

arrivia specializes in making brands better through the power of travel. The company is a merger of three powerhouse brands, ICE, SOR Technology, and WMPH Vacations, with offices on both coasts of the US and around the world, building a customer-first culture around the best travel experiences for members at every point in their journey. Core values: Stay Curious, Keep it Real, Own it, Win Together.

Working under general direction with significant autonomy, you'll design, develop, and deliver complex features and services as a key contributor on a full-stack product development team, with results reviewed at the outcome level rather than task by task. Beyond code, you'll build and configure Model Context Protocol integrations that connect AI agents to internal tools and platform services, and you'll build internal agentic workflows that automate testing, documentation, and code review triage. This role is based onsite at arrivia's Phoenix, AZ headquarters.

You fit if you bring 5 to 8 years of full-stack development experience and 2 or more years of hands-on experience using AI coding agents in professional workflows. You have strong proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET, deep experience with a modern frontend framework, and you've architected and deployed applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP. What separates a strong applicant here is the ability to set quality standards for AI-generated code across a team, not just write it well yourself, and to mentor other engineers on where agentic tools genuinely help and where they don't.

How hiring works here

Referrals are king for getting an interview. But what if you don't have a referral? Applying with Provn is designed to help you get more interviews. Instead of sending a cold resume into an ATS and waiting, you will complete a challenge built by arrivia and submit a short video walking through your approach. No time limit. No timers. No restrictions on AI usage. Show how you build with AI.

Why that works in your favor:

  • You show how you actually build and ship with coding agents, instead of hoping a resume communicates your skill clearly.
  • Your judgment with AI becomes visible, which no "proficient with AI coding agents" resume bullet can prove.
  • One challenge puts you in front of the engineering team, scored on the work. Priority without a referral!

The hiring manager reviews every completed submission, and strongest candidates go straight to an interview round. No referral needed. Performance over pedigree. Proof over polish.

The estimated salary range for this role is $130,000-$222,000 annually, based on Provn's market benchmarking. Benefits include access to arrivia's private travel marketplace with deeply discounted rates on cruises, resorts, and hotels, robust medical, dental, and vision coverage, and 401(k) with company matching, inside a culture that values winning together across US and international time zones.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
