Agentic Software Engineer II arrivia Phoenix, AZ · Full-time

Ship customer-facing features on arrivia's travel platform using AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as everyday tools, not side experiments. You'll independently deliver well-scoped features from implementation through production, working under general supervision with moderate autonomy, onsite at arrivia's Phoenix headquarters.

arrivia specializes in making brands better through the power of travel. The company is a merger of three powerhouse brands, ICE, SOR Technology, and WMPH Vacations, with offices on both coasts of the US and around the world, building a customer-first culture around the best travel experiences for members at every point in their journey. Core values: Stay Curious, Keep it Real, Own it, Win Together.

On this team, you'll develop and deliver features and services for the travel platform on a full-stack product development team, reviewing and validating AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance before it merges. You'll contribute to refactoring and modernizing existing services using cloud-native design patterns, and you'll consult with senior engineers on architectural decisions while raising risks that need team-level discussion. This role is based onsite at arrivia's Phoenix, AZ headquarters.

You fit if you bring 3 to 5 years of full-stack development experience building web applications and services, plus at least a year of hands-on experience using AI coding agents in professional workflows. You're proficient in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET, comfortable in a modern frontend framework like React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular, and you've built and deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP. The signal that separates a strong applicant here isn't tool familiarity alone, it's judgment: knowing when to trust an AI-generated diff and when to slow down and check it, and being able to explain that call to a reviewer.

How hiring works here

Referrals are king for getting an interview. But what if you don't have a referral? Applying with Provn is designed to help you get more interviews. Instead of sending a cold resume into an ATS and waiting, you will complete a challenge built by arrivia and submit a short video walking through your approach. No time limit. No timers. No restrictions on AI usage. Show how you build with AI.

Why that works in your favor:

  • You show how you actually build and ship with coding agents, instead of hoping a resume communicates your skill clearly.
  • Your judgment with AI becomes visible, which no "proficient with AI coding agents" resume bullet can prove.
  • One challenge puts you in front of the engineering team, scored on the work. Priority without a referral!

The hiring manager reviews every completed submission, and strongest candidates go straight to an interview round. No referral needed. Performance over pedigree. Proof over polish.

The estimated salary range for this role is $113,000-$178,000 annually, based on Provn's market benchmarking. Benefits include access to arrivia's private travel marketplace with deeply discounted rates on cruises, resorts, and hotels, robust medical, dental, and vision coverage, and 401(k) with company matching, inside a culture that values winning together across US and international time zones.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
