Forward Deployed Engineer

Forward Deployed Engineering is coming up more and more in our conversations with AI and technology organizations across the US.

As organizations move beyond experimenting with AI and focus on putting it to work, they need engineers who can bridge the gap between complex technology and real customer problems. That means working closely with customers, understanding how their business operates, building tailored solutions and taking them all the way into production. We're initially looking to connect with professionals based within the Eastern Time Zone who are authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

We're interested in connecting with people working across:

• Forward Deployed Engineering
• Forward Deployed Strategy
• Solutions Architecture and Customer Engineering
• AI/ML Engineering with strong customer exposure
• Founding or early-stage Engineering
• Technical Consulting focused on AI and emerging technology

You may already have the Forward Deployed Engineer title or you may be doing the work under a completely different one.

You could be a strong fit for future opportunities if you:

• Remain hands-on with software engineering and enjoy building, not just advising
• Have taken solutions from initial discovery or prototype through to production
• Can translate complex customer problems into practical technical solutions
• Are comfortable working directly with engineering teams, business leaders and senior stakeholders
• Enjoy operating in fast-moving environments where requirements may initially be unclear
• Have experience across areas such as AI/ML, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data systems or full-stack development
• Are open to some customer-site work or travel where required
