Data Scientist

The Role

• Design, test, and train data models for university business offices.
• Provide comprehensive support for artificial intelligence and machine learning models, enhancing business performance analysis.
• Deliver synthesized insights from statistical and visual analysis to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Create effective, scalable data pipelines and manage data ethics for the enterprise data lake.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues on enterprise data pipelines and collaborate on data requirements definition.
• Mentor team members to enhance data analytics maturity within the organization.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 2-5 years of experience, OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related field with 1-2 years of experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Analytics Development Life Cycle, relational database theory, and data governance.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis (ANOVA, t-tests, regression) with tools like R, SPSS, or SAS, and knowledge of linear algebra and calculus.
• Experience with AI interaction, at least two programming languages (Python and SQL preferred), and data visualization platforms (Tableau preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to create, test, and train predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms (e.g., logistic regression, decision trees).
• Experience with Databricks, AWS services, cloud computing, and establishing APIs for data pipelines.
