Our client is a AI insurtech startup building products that are transforming how one of the world's largest and most operationally complex industries operates. By combining modern software engineering with AI, they're solving complex, real-world problems for enterprise customers at scale.

They're looking for a Full Stack Product Engineer who loves building products from scratch, takes ownership, and enjoys solving difficult technical challenges. This is an opportunity to join a small, high-performing engineering team where you'll have a direct impact on both the product and the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build, and ship Full Stack applications using Python and React.
• Own features from initial concept through to production deployment.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Develop modern, intuitive user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Build and integrate AI-powered features using LLM APIs and modern AI tooling.
• Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape new features and product direction.
• Solve complex engineering problems with pragmatic, scalable solutions.
• Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and user experience.

We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience building Full Stack applications with Python and React.
• Experience building products from the ground up in a startup or scale-up environment.
• A product mindset with the ability to take ownership of features end-to-end.
• Strong backend engineering experience using FastAPI, Django, or similar Python frameworks.
• Experience designing APIs and integrating third-party services.
• A hands-on individual contributor who enjoys writing production-quality code.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and a high level of autonomy.
• FinTech experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Commercial AI experience is beneficial, but not required. We're equally interested in exceptional software engineers with a genuine interest in AI who are excited to learn and build AI-enabled products.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What Success Looks Like

During your first six months, you'll:

• Ship production code from your first few weeks.
• Take ownership of major product features from design through deployment.
• Build software used daily by enterprise customers.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop AI-enabled capabilities.

Education

A strong academic background is desired. Ideally, you'll hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, AI, or another STEM discipline. A Master's (or PhD) from a leading university is highly desirable.
