Robotics Software Engineer | New York / Remote

Berkley Hunt is partnering with an early-stage embodied AI company building intelligent robotic systems for real-world environments. They’re looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to help develop and deploy the software, learning systems and simulation workflows behind their robots.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning advanced AI and robotics research into working behaviour on physical hardware. You’ll work closely with a small technical team, contribute directly to live demos and help shape the core robotics stack as the company grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Build software for autonomous and embodied AI systems
  • Develop robot behaviours using C++, Python and PyTorch
  • Work with Isaac Sim and NVIDIA Omniverse on simulation, testing and sim-to-real workflows
  • Help train, evaluate and improve learning-based robot policies
  • Integrate software with robotic hardware platforms
  • Debug real-world robot behaviour and contribute to live product demos
  • Partner closely with engineering and product leadership in a small, high-ownership team

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong C++ and Python experience
  • Hands-on PyTorch experience, ideally in robotics, reinforcement learning or embodied AI
  • Experience with Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Omniverse or similar robotics simulation tooling
  • Background building and deploying software for real robots, rather than purely research or simulation
  • Comfortable working across simulation, policy development and hardware integration
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interest in a fast-moving early-stage environment
  • Experience from advanced robotics, autonomous vehicle, aerospace, or physical AI teams is highly relevant

Additional Details

  • New York preferred, with flexibility for exceptional US-based candidates
  • Small technical team with direct exposure to leadership
  • Opportunity to shape core robotics software and embodied AI systems from an early stage
  • $200k–$300k total compensation, plus equity and benefits
